At Lou’s Thread we are constantly growing our fabric supply chain and consider ourselves supplying some of the best of British fabric creating a fantastic library to choose from.
Suppliers include: Art of the Loom, Ian Mankin, Nouveau, Linwood, Ada and Ina Linens, Sarah Hardaker, Barneby Gates, Prestigious Textiles, Ian Sanderson, James Hare, Swaffer, Warwick and Voyage Decoration. You can also make an appointment to visit the showroom to view the fabric in the flesh, pulling books off the shelves to see what treasure they have inside is great fun!

If you have already chosen a fabric but haven’t bought it yet, we can supply fabric for you even if it’s from a company that isn’t in the list, just ask!

We help with supplying poles and trimming to suit your room design too. We supply wooden and metal poles in any colour and diameter; one of our favorite suppliers has to be Byron and Byron who supply top quality British produced wooden poles in beautiful colours and finishes.

Our fabric library also has a good range of trimming books from which to chose bead trims, pom-poms trims, tassels and tie backs.

Other products made to order include cushions, pelmets, tiebacks, bed valances, bed throws/runners, lampshades, bench seat cushions and headboards.

Mail order

For customers further afield we provide an interior design service via good old-fashioned ‘snail mail’. This could be for just one or more than one of the products we sell. Download your request quotation form. If solely for curtains or blinds we then post you fabric samples and mood boards and a guide on how to measure for your new window treatment. We hand make your order and then ship direct to your door. Pre-payment is a condition for fulfilling any mail order.
